Value for money is not especially easy to find in the Galapagos; in general accommodation standards are not high for what you pay. Luckily there are some exceptions to this general rule! The Galapagos Suites is one of our favourite options in Santa Cruz. The hotel is extremely well run, the two local ladies here are truly fantastic hosts and go out of their way to help you make the most of your stay. Tasteful rooms are a generous size, with comfy beds and air-conditioning, and some have balconies (that are assigned on arrival). Just a ten minute walk from the pier, the location is ideal for spotting the resident blue-footed boobies, sea-lions and marine iguanas in Puerto Ayora. Please note that with only six rooms the hotel does get always fully booked, so this option works well if you are booking for over six months in advance.
