A charming waterside retreat with bright, airy rooms and friendly staff. Nautical in style, the Angermeyer uses local materials to give a feel for the surroundings, including lots of historical artefacts, driftwood and local stone. The waterfront or ‘Punta Estrada’ makes for a peaceful base and gives the hotel a feel of exclusivity. Water taxis frequently make the journey to and from the nearby town of Puerto Ayora. Food here is generally a high standard but can get mixed reviews, although there are plenty of places to eat in town nearby. The restaurant and terrace area offer a perfect spot to soak in the Galapagos sunset and watch the abundant passing wildlife.
